Introducing “Neighborhoods of Cleveland” at the Grand Prix!
CLEVELAND, October 25, 2006 – The Grand Prix of Cleveland is introducing an exciting new attraction that will be a big part of the festivities when the Grand Prix returns to the shores of Lake Erie on June 22 – 24, 2007. Celebrating Cleveland’s diverse heritage, the “Neighborhoods of Cleveland” will feature a variety of traditional foods and cultural performances in a “festival within a festival.” The program will represent a great fundraising opportunity for churches and organizations to raise money by selling ethnic foods during the Grand Prix and receive a majority percentage of sales. As part of the Neighborhoods of Cleveland, there will also be a stage on which ethnic dancers, singers, and other representatives from the participating groups will have the opportunity to entertain the Grand Prix crowd as part of a showcase of Cleveland’s ethnic heritage.
Based on availability, the Grand Prix Show Car and/or Miss Grand Prix will make appearances at group events prior to the Grand Prix in order to promote their partnership in the 2007 race.
