Cleveland, OH – Now you can not only experience the excitement, fun and thrills when Champ Car’s turbo-charged scream machines return to the Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by U.S. Bank at Burke Lakefront Airport June 23-25, 2006, you can also play an important role in support of a girl’s race into the future.

As part of its 25th Anniversary celebration, Champ Cars and U.S. Bank have partnered with the Girl Scouts of Lake Erie Council (GSLEC) in an effort to provide financial aid and support to further programs such as GSLEC’s popular “Girls and Cars” workshops, which provide girl members 15 to 17 years of age throughout Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties with a wide range of auto and auto-industry related educational programs.

From hands-on experience learning basic skills for routine maintenance, driver safety workshops, and the savvy to make wise choices when purchasing their first vehicle to the responsibilities that come with owning and driving a car, the girls also learn about the history of women and automobiles, the latest innovations in hybrids and high mileage cars and have valuable interactive sessions with a wide-variety of industry professionals regarding sales, trends and career opportunities within the industry.

For this special fundraising event, the Girl Scouts of Lake Erie Council will be offering 500 opportunities to “Win a Day for Four” now through June 14, 2006, of which the Grand Prize winner will receive:
